“The only field where Karabagh and Armenia don’t need to have ties is defense. We have said over and over again and I think will keep on saying that until we reach a solution: Armenia is the only guarantee for Karabakh’s national security”, said the RA defense minister, Serj Sargsyan. In response to a question concerning whether Karabakh might take part in the negotiations process as a side in the nearest future he said, “I don’t think there will be any change of formats in the near future. Of course we wish it were so, but we can’t have everything we want and I don’t see any huge problems with that”.
