According to the “ITAR-TASS”, the deputy head of the Russian military forces in Caucasus, Vladimir Kapuradze, till the end of this year Russia will take all the heavy military facilities out of its military bases in Akhalkalak. “All military facilities and troops will be taken out of Akhalkalak till the end of 2007, after which the base will be closed already”, said Kuparadze. According to him a part of those military facilities will be taken to the military base of Gyumri. Till now they have taken out 40 heavy facilities, of which 20 are tanks.
