Yesterday during the discussions of the Euro Council, Bulgarian MP Alexandr Arbajiev made a speech on human rights and protection of human rights to army soldiers of EU member countries. “5000 soldiers died in the Azerbaijani army because of famine”, states the report about Azerbaijan. In regard to this member of the Azerbaijani delegation in the Euro Council, Elmira Akhundova said that this number was not right “because this information was based on the estimations of non-governmental organizations, which were not right”. The Azeri MP said that soldiers died in Azerbaijan almost every day, but according to her the reason was not famine, but shootings from Armenia.
