The government finally came up with a way for Armenian citizens to get back their deposits kept in former Soviet banks. This is good news, but there is one “downside” to all this. Among other documents (savings booklet, etc.), the citizen must present their social security cards to the territorial division of the social security fund.
The needy are the ones that need those deposits the most, including people who have not received pensions due to the fact that they have refused to get a social security card. It’s clear that there will soon be a scandal concerning the deposits, especially since it costs more than the pension.
