The residents of the Norashen village in the Ararat Marz are getting ready to protest to the president of the first instance court of Avan and Nor-Nork communities against the illegal acts of judge Samvel Uzunyan. Samvel Uzunyan is the judge that presided over the case for the crime committed on October 27.
Twenty-two year old resident of the Norashen village Sargis Soghomonyan has kidnapped his bride with her consent. The girl’s mother, who is head of Uzunyan’s staff, didn’t like this initiative. According to the groom’s lawyer Tigran Atanesyan, Uzunyan wanted to help the girl’s mother out by calling Sargis to his office and beating him with a weapon. After these threats, the girl’s mother had forced Sargis to come to her house and call the police to present a protest the next day. S. Soghomonyan was arrested on March 22. The villagers of Norashen claim that the couple had been dating for quite a while and they know the girl because S. Soghomonyan had invited her to his house a couple of times.
