The president of Azerbaijan told the Azerbaijani “Trend” news agency that the negotiations for the Karabagh conflict resolution are going at a different pace, which benefits Azerbaijani national interests and serves as a firm basis for bringing back territorial integrity. In his words, the Azerbaijani side doesn’t want to restart the war, but at the same time is strengthening its army. According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s borders must be open for close countries and closed for enemies; that’s why the country is keeping an eye on the borders. The state budget will provide more money for that next year. Aliyev has announced: “The Armenian lobbying and Armenian terrorist groups continue to threat Azerbaijan and spread anti-Azerbaijani propaganda.”
