“Yerevan Water” company, which is the water supply provider and sewage services in Yerevan, has applied to the Public Services Regulatory Commission to revise the prices. The company has recommended increasing the prices to 38,2% (from 125 dram up to 178,2 dram for one cubic meter of water). Last year, on December 14 the RA Government and “General Des O” company signed a contract, according to which this company is to render and operate water supply and sewage services starting from May 1, 2006. According to this contract the prices for water are expected to rise too.
