According to our information the House of Writers has sold an apartment at Israelyan 37/8 address, which was their property and intended for writers to work there. The responsible person for this apartment used to be Hamo Sahyan, but after he died it was given to writer Vahan Tamaryan to live there. After Mr. Tamaryan died in 2005 this apartment was returned to the Writers’ Union because neither of his relatives had registration at that address and had any legal rights. Despite the fact that there are a lot of homeless writers now, the House of Writers has decided to sell it. According to our information this apartment was sold to member of the Writers’ Union, MP Ruben Hovsepyan. According to our information the board also made a decision to give some money from this sum to the Tamaryan family. But the wife of Mr. Tamaryan, Shirakuhi Tutkharyan says that she hasn’t received any money.
