There will be some penalties after the “Unity Tree Planting” is over because the Chief Prosecutor of Armenia is getting heartfelt for each tree planted. The forest keepers are really going to get it. Based on the news on the Chief Prosecutor’s web site, a criminal case has been brought up regarding the deforestation in the “Artsvaberd forest” joint stock company’s territory by the State Interests Defense Department of the Prosecutor’s Office. Forest keeper A. Vardazaryan has been careless to the trees. He hasn’t done what he was supposed to do, which was to prevent any illegal deforestations. As a result, 91 trees have been cut down in the forest, a total of 70 cubic meters and the state has lost 1,299,454 AMD for the trees. Former forest keeper for the Motkor forest of the Dsegh forest economy Garik Paranyan has done the same thing. A total of 194 trees have been cut down by an anonymous group of people, equaling 218.45 cubic meters in territory. The state has had to spend 1,929,800 AMD for the damage caused and a case has been brought up.
