Badri is in danger

10/04/2006

“Silence is equal to confessing to a crime,” said Badri Patarkatsishvili during the meeting of the Businessmen’s Federation and accused the Georgian authorities of spending 160 million lari, which they had stolen from businessmen through racketing. His allegations sounded very convincing.

During his speech, Patarkatsishvili emphasized a couple of times that his criticisms are correct due to the fact that he says things straightforward to the people whom he respects. But Patarkatsishvili, as well as everyone else, knows that the Georgian could care less about any warning or allegation. We can’t really consider Patarkatsishvili’s speech a warning.

What was it that he noticed that he hadn’t noticed during the past nine months? What is the reason that the careful millionaire took this step? The authorities felt their hearts beating when they heard the comments being made about the non-declared “don Carleone” and Georgia’s three enemies, including Moscow, thieves and oligarchs. Ideologist of the “National Movement” party Giga Bokeria, who is currently in a state of chaos, was the one who brought up this last argument.

“Don’t turn me into one of your enemies,” said Patarkatsishvili and was accused by the authorities as “an oppositionist leader and the possible sponsor of the opposition.” The authorities have already started turning Patarkatsishvili into an enemy.

But why did the businessman dare to speak in front of Sahakashvili’s administration? Why did he do that?

Everyone knows that Patarkatsishvili and his friend Berezovski parted ways. Patarkatsishvili purchased all of Berezovski’s media actives and kept them neutral-tied to the Kreml. He got a guarantee for inviolability for that. The businessman is planning on joining the Russians in implementing their large and significant projects.

According to confidential sources, Patarkatsishvili has sold his “Imedi” (“Hope”) television network to “News Corporation”. The owner of “News Corporation” is Rupert Merdok and owns 10% of his actives. In addition, Patarkatsishvili’s great friend Shimon Peres works for the Israeli government. It turns out that Patarkatsishvili has all the figures on the chess board in their places. He has come out into the light due to the fact that Sahakashvili can no longer resist him. The international community is criticizing the businessman’s actions, but Patarkatsishvili has a very stable position in Russia, the U.S. and Israel. The Georgians as well as the international community are tired of Sahakashvili’s inadequate and unusual behavior. That’s why Badri is making a big leap from business all the way to politics.

But…as of now, nobody is protected in Georgia.

Badri Patarkatsishvili has already crossed the border…this means that his business, his power, his reputation and even his life are in danger. In Georgia, everyone pays the piper for what he does.
