Recently former chess world champion Garri Kasparov gave an interview to “Standard” news agency, where he said that Putin keeps firm ground with the help of oil, which makes the West depend on Russia for the oil. “I understand Putin’s strategies. Russia needs Iran for developing nuclear weapon. They need the “Hamas” to make the situation in Middle East more dangerous and non-transparent because that will support the oil price increase. But if the prices go down, he will lose that firm ground”, said Kasparov.
