According to “Mediamax”, the press department of “Armentel” company has not been informed about the intention of OTE Company to sell its 90% share of “Armentel” stocks. Yesterday “AFX Europe” agency published information that after negotiating with the Armenian Government, the OTE announced about their intention to sell their share. They have written in the announcement that the financial operator of the deal would be HSBC Holding PLC. Yesterday the press secretary of the RA ministry of Justice, Ara Saghatelyan said that they hadn’t heard anything about the intention of the OTE to sell its share. “168 Hours” was told the same by the Government press department too. Let’s recall that in November, 2004 the RA justice minister announced that if the OTE decided to sell its share, the RA Government, being a shareholder of “Armentel”, would use its vote.
