The coalition met with the president yesterday. This time they discussed the draft of recommendations to the RA Electoral Code. Please note that the parliamentary oppositional and governmental powers have come to an agreement to amend the EO (make about 100 amendments). As we were informed by a representative of the coalition and head of the Central Electoral Commission, Garegin Azaryan, was present at the meeting with the president too. The president had ordered him to study the draft in detail. As a result of this, Mr. Azaryan and Robert Kocharyan didn’t agree on some provisions preventing electoral violations. They said that those recommendations were good ideas, but these innovations could technically create difficulties and lines of people in polling stations.
