“You can protect your property in different ways: you can take a rifle or a stick, or join a party which ideas are good for you. But you don’t have to personally be involved in politics”, says oligarch Mikhail Baghdasarov.
He hasn’t decided yet which political power he will join during the coming elections of 2007. “We will join those powers, which activities are to develop our economy and sports”, hints Baghdasarov. He didn’t exclude any possibility of joining the party of Gagik Tsarukyan, “Developing Armenia”, but meanwhile noted that this was not the only party which activities are to develop our economy and sports. But it is clear that Baghdasarov will be there wherever Serj Sargsyan is. In other words he will do what Mr. Sargsyan tells him to do. But now we understand why he hasn’t made a decision yet: he will make his decision after Serj Sargsyan announces which party they will join: either the Republican Party or “Developing Armenia”. By the way, taking into account the fact that Tsarukyan was not present at the airport among the high ranked officials and big oligarchs when meeting the new aircraft of Baghdasarov, we may assume that Baghdasarov doesn’t like the idea of joining his party.
