Yesterday the RA president had a meeting with head of the Russian services of struggling against drugs in the framework of the relevant cooperation body of CIS countries, Viktor Cherkessov. As it is written in the official announcement the two parties have appreciated the cooperation and noted that it would be less effective without cooperation in the framework of this body.
But according to our non-official information the visit of Viktor Cherkessov to Armenia is mainly conditioned by the report of the U.S. Department of State about drug transportation, because Russia is worried that the U.S. meant Russia by this announcement and hinted that Armenia would never be involved in such things without Russia.
