The gas price has not been increased yet, but the prices for some products have been increased already. The price for sugar has gone up to 300 dram for one kilo from 250 dram. Most of the imported sugar is produced by “Flitfood” Armenian-Indian Company that belongs to MP, businessman Samvel Alexanyan, which used to be the fifth biggest tax payer of Armenia in 2005. We tried to ask for information from Mr. Alexanyan about this increase. But they told our correspondent that he was not in Armenia and would contact us as soon as he returned.
