What should Hrair do?

02/04/2006

Everyone expected to get some reaction from ARF members in light of the recent events tied to former head of the president’s administration staff Artashes Tumanyan. After all, Tumanyan was one of the close allies of the ARF members and was even enlisted in the ARF during the National Assembly elections. However, the ARF members refrain from saying anything about the recent events.

“What’s the matter with Artashes Tumanyan and why should we react?” asked secretary of the ARF faction Hrair Karapetyan yesterday surprised by our question. “168 hours” reminded him of Tumanyan’s recent resignation from being the head of the president’s administration and the newly founded “New Land” political party. Let’s not forget that Tumanyan was also called to the police department and the National Security Services. His friend Hrair had this to say in response to that.

“The rumors about him going to the police department were denied later on. Besides, what were we supposed to say? Artashes Tumanyan is no longer a member of the ARF. So what if he is enlisted?”

So, when federation colleagues don’t see eye to eye, they betray each other.
