Armenia’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to France Anri Kyunin believes that the meeting in Rambulle, France was set up through the efforts of the French government. According to him, although the negotiations didn’t solve anything, however they did give an opportunity for both presidents to realize that “the two sides are almost there.” Kyuni states that the Frankofonia international organization has a goal to resolve the conflict peacefully and says:
“If the UN Security council had listened to what France had to say back in 2003, there would not be a war in Iraq.”
The Ambassador to France Anri Kyuni says that he was surely going to be present in Gyumri to witness the events dedicated to the International French Speaking Day on March 20.
“Students in Gyumri learn French professionally. It is worth mentioning that that can also be seen at the French University in Armenia due to the fact that the majority of students there are from Gyumri,” says the ambassador. The ambassador took part in the event organized at the Gyumri state pedagogical institute and said that he would like to see Armenia and France establish more intimate ties.
On March 28th, the new “Air France” airline will launch the first ever “Yerevan-Paris” flight in Armenia. After that, there will be flights three times a week. The airline will officially be registered in Armenia at the French embassy.
