EU representative in Southern Caucasus, Peter Semneb will visit Armenia in April. We were informed from the EU Armenian press secretary that it’s not clear which dates he will visit. Peter Semneb is currently in Georgia and last week he was in Azerbaijan. According to “Zerlako”, Mr. Semneb said the following in response to the journalists’ questions on where and how they were going to allocate the troops: “If we come to an agreement with the parties, it’s possible that the EU may send peacekeepers to the region and help the territories affected by the war develop”. As for the Karabakh conflict and possible solutions in 2006, he said that he still hoped it would be solved peacefully.
