Columbian musician Cesar Lopez has invented a new musical instrument. This instrument is called “La Escopetarra” and it’s like a rifle and guitar. “I have combined the worst invention with the most beautiful musical instrument”, says Lopez. He came up with the idea of creating such an instrument after an explosion in Bogota, which killed a lot of people. “I was standing there with a guitar in my hands when I saw a soldier with a rifle in his hands, and I understood that we were very much like each other”, says Lopez. This instrument has become a specific anti-war symbol in Columbia. The government of Columbia has promised the musician to give him rifles later to make instruments from these rifles. A lot of people have gotten a chance to buy these instruments, including Shakira, Carlos Santana and Paul Makkarti.
