Recently Italian producer the Paolo and Vitoria Tavianas have spoken about their intention to make a film on the basis of a piece of work by writer Antonia Arslan. Recently the European “Euromages” foundation has promised the brothers 600000 dollars to make this film. The purpose of the “Euromages” foundation is to support making European films and establish cultural ties between countries. This film will tell about the Armenian genocide and love, this is the reason why Turkey criticized this financial aid. The foreign affairs ministry of Turkey has sent a note to Italy demanding to stop making films telling about the Armenian genocide. The grant of the brothers will stay the same, but possibly some parts of the film will be changed and it will tell more about love than about historical events.
