On Saturday official representative of the foreign affairs ministry of Iran, Hamid Reza Asefi announced that Iran was not going to continue discussing the project of founding a center for uranium enrichment in Russia and Iran was going to start taking certain steps to realize this project in their territory. This announcement was made after the decision of the board of directors of the international energy agency to give the file of Iran to the UN Security Council, which can impose political and economical sanctions on Iran. But “Interfax” was informed from Russian diplomatic sources that today Iran has officially rejected this announcement of the Iranian official during their official meeting with Moscow. “The Iranians informed the Russian diplomats that the suggestion of uranium enrichment in the territory of Russia was still valid. During the recent conversation with Iranian officials they rejected the announcement of their foreign affairs official”, writes “Interfax”.
