Some Azerbaijani political figures have touched upon Robert Kocharyan’s interview given to television networks.
“President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan is being populist by announcing that if the Karabagh conflict negotiations don’t go as planned, the official Yerevan will recognize Karabagh’s independence,” said head of the foreign relations department of the Azerbaijani president’s administration Novruz Mamedov.
“First of all, Armenia doesn’t have enough potential to say such things. Armenia has gone too far because it is not going along with international norms and is making these kinds of announcements in a critical period. These announcements may lead to severe consequences,” said Mamedov.
