Before sending Armenian troops to Iraq, Armenia must discuss whether or
not that decision is rational or not. The U.S. has already declared
that it will slowly do away with the presence of military bases in
Iraq,” said Prime Minister Andranik Markaryan yesterday and did not
deny the possibility that there may be a wave hitting Armenia as a
result of sending troops to Iraq. “Our safety must be taken into
consideration in solving this issue,” said Markaryan.
