In order to prevent the process of destroying the “khachkars” (cross-stones) in Nor Jugha, Artur Baghdasaryan has sent a letter to the Chairman of the Council of Europe, Terry Davis. In his response-letter, Davis mentioned that the CE places high emphasis on the protection of historic monuments and he petitioned to send a delegation to the Southern Caucasus to prevent the destruction of historical monuments. The members of the delegation will soon arrive.
