President of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan believes that it would be best for the bank and the government to fix the inflation rate for this year, which according to preliminary data, is 3%. The National Assembly fixes the inflation rate each year and it is the Central Bank’s job to keep the rate constant.

“Otherwise, it turns out that we are falling behind in economy just because we don’t want to violate the law,” says Central Bank president Tigran Sargsyan.
