“The US is very disappointed in the negotiations in Rambeau”, said deputy to the US secretary of the Department of the State Nicolas Berns in his interview given to “Nezavisimaja gazeta” newspaper. According to him, the US strongly believed that this meeting was a great chance to progress in the conflict negotiations process. “In 1991-1992, a lot of attempts were made to solve this problem, and I think the Kocharyan-Aliev meeting was a better chance for the parties”, said Berns and added that the US still wants to continue supporting the parties together with Russia and Paris to reach a final agreement. In regard to the situation in Northern Caucasus, he said that Russia has to deal with this and that dialogues are common for solving international conflicts, referring to Karabagh and Georgia.
