ARP is against broadcasting

26/02/2006

Yesterday the representatives of NA Factions/Deputy Groups have gathered at the NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan’s office to discuss the draft of the “Law on Amendments of the NA Bylaw”. Only ULP representatives didn’t show up, reasoning that they have their own draft.

The main topic of discussions was whether the questions of representatives of NA Factions/Deputy Groups must be broadcasted or not. It’s worth mentioning that after the adoption of the new Constitution the NA Deputies now have the right to ask questions to the RA Government. Only the Chairman of “Republican” Party Galust Sahakyan was against broadcasting questions. He ensures that during broadcasting the discussions of laws become secondary. Instead he suggested that the discussion of law drafts should also be broadcast in case the questions are. NA Deputy of Legal State, Mher Shahgeldyan thinks that it’s physically impossible to broadcast all the NA sessions. The discussions were delayed until next week, during which the coalition should convince the Republicans.
