Representatives of different political groups visited the NA yesterday with the purpose of taking part in the election for the ombudsman. Not only was the coalition the most active one to take part in this process, but also famous businessmen who rarely visit the NA building. After a long period yesterday MP Gagik Tsarukyan visited the NA. “Tsarukyan will come here often, because as you know we have founded a new party and we must work”, said Mr. Tsarukyan during his conversation with journalists. But the reason that he didn’t visit the NA so long was not their party, but his business. It turns out that he had more important things to do: “I wasn’t busy with the party, I was busy with my business, I am a businessman and I have a lot of things to do”, said Mr. Tsarukyan. Journalists asked him whether he was going to cease his business activities, to which he answered: “I will never stop my businesses, I will tell other people to do that work instead of me”, he said and added, “I will visit the NA more often. I will come here periodically and work here. I will do certain things. We must get out there and implement our projects”. According to him his “Developing Armenia” party will be organized by August. And till that time they don’t have any reasons to hurry.
These days a lot of parties are founded and journalists asked Mr. Tsarukyan what makes their party unique and different from other parties: “All parties have good programs, but the most important thing is to implement those programs and make people understand that they have worked for them, but not to leave those ideas on paper”, explained Mr. Tsarukyan. Recently there are rumors that the secretary of “Justice” alliance, Viktor Dallakyan is going to join Mr. Tsarukyan’s party too. But Viktor Dallakyan has neither approved nor rejected this idea by saying that he hasn’t received any official suggestions and if he gets any he will inform journalists about this. But according to Mr. Tsarukyan he hadn’t make any suggestions and is not going to either: “I haven’t made any suggestions and I am not going to either. People will hear our ideas, see what we do and if they want they can join us. Our doors are open for everyone. And for us it is not important whether they are oppositionists or not. Our doors are open for everyone who are respected by people and work for people”, said Mr. Tsarukyan. According to Mr. Tsarukyan this party is founded for people and will serve them. To the question whether the party will mainly consist of businessmen or not he answered: “Sometimes you ask me such questions that I am ashamed of you. This party will be represented by politicians, who are real politicians and have always been like this. Now these kinds of good politicians need attention and economical support to implement programs jointly. Tsarukyan has not founded this party in order to get a good position or protect some interests, everyone knows that Tsarukyan has always done everything for developing and being sustainable. People who do their best to develop and stay in the field need to leave something in history, leave a “signature”. It’s not all about money”, said Mr. Tsarukyan. But he doesn’t think that money doesn’t play any role in politics. “Money must serve as means for certain things. The guarantee of my party will be work and faith. If my party makes an announcement, it will do all it can to make that a reality. There are hundreds of parties now and hundreds of press conferences are organized. As for me, I have organized only one press conference”. According to him till know he has always won elections in fair conditions and has never given electoral bribe. He is going to do the same during the coming parliamentary elections too: “Of course I have done good things for people, but I have never given electoral bribe to anyone, and I think a normal person will not take it either”, said Mr. Tsarukyan.
As a matter of fact, there are rumors that the “Developing Armenia” is going to have a lot of places in the parliament after the coming parliamentary elections. At the same time, the existing governmental parties will also win these places. “Now everyone analyzes the situation sitting at home. Of course this is absurd. Only time will show what happens”, said Mr. Tsarukyan.
