“Grand Tobacco” produces new brand

20/02/2006

“Grand Tobacco” is currently producing new cigarettes named “Nemiroff”. The brand of this product, which belongs to “Nemiroff” company, has been officially licensed by the state. The company has already applied to court. The head of “Grand Tobacco” company Hrant Vartanyan didn’t deny this rumor and said that the company didn’t apply to court to institute legal proceedings against their company, but against the licensing officials. We asked Mr. Vardanyan whether those cigarettes were sold in the market or not, to which he replied: “of course”. But yesterday we couldn’t find any cigarettes bearing this brand in the market, which is usually sold for about 450 dram. According to our sources, all these products have been confiscated. We tried to get information from the licensing officials but they informed us that the person in charge was not there. We will try to inform you more about this in our upcoming editions.
