The Public Storage Funds are not in Need

The people working at the Sevan “Yeter” convalescence home are
spreading rumors about the construction of a trench in the yard of the
home. “The workers know something about that. Maybe there is some kind
of mystery to it all,” said one of the workers.

The trench is dug deep into the ground and has two entrances-one of them is for cars.

“Sometimes the officials of the Ministry of Defense come here, enter
with the cars, do whatever they need to do and leave,” says the worker
of the convalescence home.

The worker remembers the visit made by Michael Harutyunyan a year
ago. “We saw him, he came here and then left. When we were watching
television, the screen got a little blurry and then we saw Michael
Harutyunyan. He appeared on the screen then quickly disappeared. Then
we saw his car leaving the entrance.” As to what the trench holds
inside, none of the workers know. “Nobody is allowed to go in there,
and the doors are locked tightly. There was only one time when one of
the doors was open and I saw that there are two doors at the length of
two walls.”

“Yeter” owns the state council of the Public Radio/TV station. The
council’s press informed “168 hours” weekly that the pension has been
part of the Public Radio/TV state council starting from the Soviet
years. It has not only been foreseen for relaxing in the summer. “It
had another significance, but I am not allowed to talk about that.”
During the years of post-independence, as a result of the
re-establishment of departments, “Yeter” was periodically moved from
one department to the other, including the Ministry of Information, the
Department of Information, and finally the Ministry of Culture. Last
year, it was moved from the Ministry of Culture to the Council of the
Public Radio/TV. “Until its return to where it should legally be,” says
the press, “there were rumors spreading about the sale and
privatization of “Yeter”. At the present, I do not think that “Yeter”
will be excluded from the council. The issue is not connected with the
convalescence home, but rather the studios reserved for the Public
Radio/TV station.” This is exactly what does not need to be discussed.
“It’s not that it can’t be discussed, but rather, it is not accepted by
the administration,” said the workers of the press,” we are not saying
that it is a secret kept by the state, but in any case, it is not
considered a norm to talk about why there are studios. The people who
have any information concerning the state and its strategic needs will
understand what this all means.”

According to the information given by the council press, those studios
are not in a good situation and the council does not have enough means
for remodeling and rearming them. The press also affirmed that there
has been no need for that starting from the years of post-independence.
