NA Deputy from the Armenian Republican Party Ashot Aghababyan thinks that the Ombudsman’s position should be a lifelong position. Our current government may become an opposition in the near future and in that case it’s possible that the future government may abuse the rights of the future opposition. “If the Chairman of the Constitutional Court is authorized to submit that position lifelong, the same should be applied for the Ombudsman”, he says. The journalists asked who should be elected. “Both of them are not interesting for me. I wonder who will be the one who will love himself more than others. I am against the person, who is not elected lifelong and is not the one who makes miracles happen in Armenia”, added Mr. Aghababyan and said that it’s not very difficult to find great people in our country. “My dad said I am a great person but I think there are greater people than me”, he said. And according to Ashot Aghababyan those great people are the teachers.
