The coalition has not failed

Many were surprised to see how the elections for the ombudsman did not go as planned. As for the representatives of the coalition parties, who were interested in the candidacy of Armen Harutyunyan, they were trying to hide their confusion. Yesterday the prime minister answered to the questions of journalists in the NA and said: “It was a normal process and the votes were not enough for both candidates. There will be nominations again, they will try again, so let’s see who will win”. But according to him the fact that the election was failed doesn’t mean yet that the coalition hadn’t organized everything well. “It was a secret voting and I can’t say what kind of choice they made particularly. I know how coalitional parties look at Armen Harutyunyan and I also know that there was no negative opinion about him. So we can’t say that the coalition failed the process and didn’t vote for his candidacy. Everyone had a right to make a secret voting, this is why the voting is called secret voting”, said the prime minister. According to him although ten members of the coalition were missing that day, but even if they were there it would not be enough for them to provide the adequate number of votes; so they need the assistance of other MPs, which according to him was either provided fully or partially. The prime minister is not suspicious about anyone to let them down because he doesn’t have any facts.
