Robert Kocharyan, who had paid an official visit to Sweden, announced yesterday, “After the recent announcements of Azerbaijani authorities, I am less optimistic of the positive outcome of the meeting with Azerbaijani President Aliev in Paris on February 10. In order to resolve the conflict of Karabagh both sides should express political good will and take certain political risks. The announcements during the last few days from Baku make me believe that Azerbaijan doesn’t have political will nor has a sufficient amount of it”. According to the President the last announcements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan amazed the Armenian side. Besides that Robert Kocharyan pledged that “we have to be careful when being optimistc”. He said that in Paris he was not only going to meet the President of Azerbaijan but also the President of France Chirac.
