During his last press conference held last year, NA Chairman A. Baghdasaryan was saying that he can’t stand to see Russia increase the gas price because he won’t be able to explain to the voters why Russia is doing this to its strategic partner. Yesterday he changed his words around: “Let’s see what the outcome of negotiations will be. I don’t think it will affect Russian-Armenian relations. We should take into account our people’s long-term friendship with Russia”, he said and added that sometimes he becomes very optimistic.
