In Karabagh, some officials have been removed from office in the beginning of this year, including two ministers-the Minister of Urbanization and the Minister of Social Security. Officials are once again being removed from office after a short gap. The rumors about removing the General Prosecutor of Karabagh Mavrik Ghukassian were no longer rumors on February 6 when he was removed by the order of the president of Karabagh. The reason for his removal was the long awaited pension. Currently, the president of Karabagh has appointed chief of the president’s administration Armen Zalinyan as General Prosecutor after expressing his gratitude to former General Prosecutor Mavrik Ghukassian. The president also stated that there are new problems facing the prosecutor’s office and there is a need for a new general prosecutor. According to Arkadi Ghukassian, the newly appointed General Prosecutor must appoint the right officials and must check up on the professionalism of the workers.

The president of Karabagh also appointed the secretary for the Karabagh Security Council Karen Baburyan as part of the chief administration.
