“We should realize that we are an independent country and yes, the gas price must rise up to $110 and we should prepare the country for $110”, said the Chairman of the Liberal Progressive Party of Armenia (LPPA) Hovhannes Hovhannisyan yesterday and added that there is no need to start anti-Russian hysteria because of the gas price. According to Mr. Hovhannisyan, Russia kis moving towards setting prices based on the market. “We should have signed the gas contract at $110. Later we should have worked very hard to improve our economy and comply it with the new gas price”, he insisted. Meanwhile he thinks that Russian-Armenian relations are phony and the presence of Russian troops of Armenia more likely protects the security of government representatives of Armenia rather than the security of our country.
