In 2005, the “Clean Metal” company increased its levels of iron molybdenum production and export by 58%. It has reached 1900 tons. According to the owner of the company Genik Karapetyan, 99% of the company’s product has been exported to Europe last year. The company has sold 64 billion drams worth of products in contrast to the 55 million in 2004. Karapetyan claims that the double rise is due to the international metal price increase. The company receives the molybdenum material from the Zangezur copper molybdenum factory and 15% of the share-holdings of that factory belong to the “Clean Metal” factory. The company has 450 workers and the average monthly salary is 300 dollars.
