Cutting off Ojalan’s electricity

Twenty five women representing the “Kurdistan” committee of Armenia are going to go out on a five-day hunger strike. “It has already been seven years since the Kurds’ leader Abdullah Ojalan has been in the Imrali prison in Turkey and he is in bad conditions. It has been more than one month that the leader Apo is subjected to “double imprisonment””, say the committee members. Currently, the EU is discussing the issue of re-starting Ojalan’s judicial process. “Of course, Apo is going to make a self- defense speech, but the Turkish government doesn’t even let him do that”. According to the committee members, they don’t only give papers and pens to Ojalan, but also, they have cut off his electricity and don’t let him meet with his relatives and lawyers.
