The former president of Azerbaijan, Ajaz Mitalibov doesn’t agree with the optimistic opinion of those people who think that the Karabakh conflict will be regulated soon and says: “If the problem is solved, I am 100 % sure that it will be out of the interests of Azerbaijan. The solution can be in compliance with the interests of Azerbaijan only in case Karabakh is included in the territory of Azerbaijan and the occupied territories are returned as well”, says Mutalibov in his interview given to day.az and adds that all possible solutions of the conflict are out of the interests of Azerbaijan. “Now many are talking about organizing a referendum. How can they speak about any referendum if there is no citizen of Azerbaijan in Karabakh? In a word, our authorities must be very careful in their approach to such problems”, says Mitalibov.
