Yesterday during a press conference the chairman of the Progressive Party of Armenia Tigran Ulikhanyan announced that the bird flu has already made its way to Armenia. According to him in Hovtashat village of Ararat Marz the representatives of the party found seven dead turkeys and one more dead turkey was found in Hayanist village of the same Marz. The reason that the turkeys died might be the bird flu. T. Ulikhanyan said that within two days the party representatives tried to find out whether there is any center in Armenia that is occupied in examining the bird flu. However there has not been any answer so far. He also rejected the information that the Infection Hospital of “Nork” is occupied with examining this issue. Mr. Ulikhanyan emphasized that their party has used their means to acquire medications, and the city and regional offices of the party are ready to help anyone that has an infection.
