On December 22, Razmik Sargsyan’s lawyers Zaruhi Postanjyan and Stepan Voskanyan have sent an open letter with the title “Message regarding crime” to the chief prosecutor of Armenia Aghvan Hovsepyan. The letter states that Razmik Sargsyan, who has been on a hunger strike for the past four months, is in critical condition. On December 19, Razmik Sargsyan’s attorneys have presented a solicitation to the head of the crime department of the Ministry of Health of Armenia Samvel Hovhannisyan, asking him to intervene and give a final diagnosis of R. Sargsyan’s health and do research on the many opinions expressed by different doctors. However, S. Hovhannisyan and general doctor of the “Nubarashen” police department Gor Khachatryan have refused to do the research. As a matter of fact, G. Khachatryan has claimed that Razmik Sargsyan is healthy and does not need to get medical treatment. On December 21, on “Yerkir Media” TV, S. Hovhannisyan defamed R. Sargsyan and said that he eats the food given to him by his attorneys every day. “The doctors at the “Nubarashen” police department, including general doctor Gor Khachatryan, are the ones responsible for Razmik’s poor health and the reason why his life is currently in danger,” states the letter. The attorneys are interceding to bring an action up against S. Hovhannisyan and G. Khachatryan for their criminal acts.
