ADP Will Not Take Part In Rallies

18/12/2005

ADP is not going to take part in the coming oppositional rallies and will not participate in the formed oppositional committee. “Organizing rallies is a way to struggle, and the struggle will go on. But we think that it is not effective to organize rallies in this period. But this doesn’t mean that we are giving up. I am sure that there will be more and stronger rallies in the future. But the activities of the opposition will not be limited only to rallies. They ignored the vote of the public both in 2003 and on November 27. Of course this can’t be left without any adequate response”, says Stepan Demirchyan. As for not taking part in the committee Stepan Demirchyan said: “We think that “Justice” alliance has got the public vote already and must make their activities like an alliance. The parties that are involved in the alliance first of all must understand this and that they bear serious responsibilities and first of all implement the programs of the alliance. We said that we were ready to cooperate with the political powers out of the parliament, but without any formats in advance. The most important thing in making relations is decency. I think the issue of founding a commission must be discussed, and all parties must be involved in this discussion, that is why I don’t want to make a decision quickly”. We asked Stepan Demirchyan what kind of methods of struggle they preferred in that stage and he answered: “I already said that there would be strong rallies. And now we must work with people and do our work in the NA”.
