The delicious details about the 2003 National Assembly election
campaign will satisfy all the humor the voters need. The residents of
the Dimidrov village in the Ararat region have a story to tell. During
the “Orinats Yerkir”(Lawful Land) political party’s visit to the
village, despite the many falso promises made to the villagers, the
political party had granted the village a personal computer. The
villagers claim that the village chief Lyudvig Khltanyan had promised
the political party that the villages would vote for “Orinats
Yerkir”(Lawful Land). However, according to the Dimidrov villagers, the
republican party was stronger than “Orinats Yerkir” and did not let
that party win in the elections. After a while, the villagers noticed
that the computer had disappeared from the village They thought that
maybe Lyudvig took the computer with him.” The village chief claims
that “Orinats Yerkir” got offended and took the computer back. In
addition, Lyudvig Klghatyan has “hidden” a majority of the wheat seeds
provided by the FAO international organization as a source of help.
When the villagers found out, complained and sued Lyudvig, the Ararat
region court responded by saying that there should be no conflict about
wheat and the village chief added that he had not kept all the wheat to
himself.
