Letter to the Georgian king

16/12/2005

General-Major and commander of the Artsakh army Arkadi Tadevosyan, first commander of the Artsakh army Arkadi Karapetyan and commander of the Shushi army Zhirair Sefilyan sent an open letter yesterday to Georgian president M. Sahakashvili on behalf of the volunteer soldiers of the Artsakh war. “We are worried about the recent news received from Javakhk and the other Armenian populated regions of Georgia. According to the news, the Georgian government has passed and is planning on implementing the project for moving Armenians out of their birthplaces. After seeing that the Armenian population is not going to give in, the Georgian authorities have tried to apply force a couple of times. Going against the Armenians living on Georgian soil will deteriorate Georgian-Armenian relations. Of course, they can be friendly too at any given time. We urge Tbilisi to get serious. We warn that, based on what has happened in the world, applying force can cause non-preferable results.”
