Russian Gas Pipe Line In Europe

12/12/2005

Yesterday it was the first day to start the construction works of the gas pipe line in Northern Europe. This pipe line, which is 1200 meters long, will not cross any transit country and will reach Graysvald city in Germany. The part of the construction that is going to be done under the water will cost them about 5 billion dollars. Russian gas is also going to reach Germany and other countries in Western Europe through this pipe line in 2010. The parties have founded a new company to make this construction (51 % of the share belongs to “Gazprom” Russian company and 24,5 % belongs to two German companies). Ex chancellor of Germany Gerhard Shroder is going to be the head of the board of directors of this project.
