An event took place yesterday during President Robert Kocharyan’s visit to Gyumri. After putting a bouquet of flowers in front of the monument dedicated to the victims of the earthquake, the delegation was to go to the regional council where the people gathered (mainly women) were trying approach R. Kocharyan and tell him about their problems. However, the police officers restrained them and the women cursed at the bodyguards and the president for not paying attention to them. The journalists were also not allowed to come near the president.
