The founder-director of the company Nina Hovnanyan-Aleksanyan signs commercial contracts with Armenian craftsmen and “talented” masters and organizes an exhibition and sale of their pieces in the exhibition hall at Abovyan 1 address. The decorated leather handbags, shoes, jewelry, toys, lamps and dolls stand out with their high quality and taste. They are exhibited and sold very proficiently. The company is expecting an active sale over Christmas. “I want the tourists to spend a lot of money in Armenia and see how spectacular our masters are”, said Nina Hovnanyan-Aleksanyan on the opening day of the exhibition. The items of the exhibition will be great Christmas presents. But perhaps only rich people can afford those because the prices are very high. “The price matches the quality. I want people not just to buy cheap and low-grade items. I want them to spend money on quality items to buy things that are pieces of art”, said the director of the “Treasure of Armenia”. Being well introduced to the art market she thinks that each item is sold according to its design. “What’s the point of buying foreign items? We can easily have our own Chanels and Gucci’”, she said. The “Armenian Treasure” is planning to participate in international gift shows and enable Armenian craftsmen and art masters step into the international market. The exhibition is open every day at 10a.m. for both guests and people, who want to offer their pieces. Hand-made items may be good business. Nina Hovnanyan-Aleksanyan is sure of it.
