Yesterday Grigor Melkumyan (chief adviser of the mayor of Yerevan) announced that according to the decision of the RA prime minister the authorized bodies can allow citizens to privatize their illegal constructions only till March 1, 2006. He also petitioned people that hadn’t privatized their illegal constructions or just hadn’t got legal documents from the city administration bodies yet to hurry up in order to be able to get property documents in time. According to him this concerns only old applications that have been made till now, but not the new ones.
