“The fight against corruption is at the highest level in Armenia compared to the other CIS countries,” said director of the Yerevan branch of the OSCE Vladimir Pryakhin to “Regnum” news agency. According to Pryakhin, the fight against corruption allows the establishment of democracy. The OSCE is cooperating with the Armenian government in planning out projects which will fight against corruption. As he reflected upon the constitutional amendments, Pryakhin was of the opinion that the amendments just separate the wings of the authorities, give independence to the judicial branch of government, etc. “All these amendments allow us to make the fight against corruption more effective,” said Pryakhin.
